Senior Mobile Engineer - Personalization (m/f/d)

About the opportunity
The Personalization team helps customers to better understand their health and achieve their goals. From Behavioural Change to Discover your next test, we’re behind some of Lykon’s most-loved features. We built them by understanding the world of health and nutrition better than anyone else.
We are looking for a mobile engineer to join our team and help us deliver the best personalized experience to our customers on our mobile app. You will play a vital role in how people interact with our products, and features where accessibility, testability, and simplicity are always part of the conversation.
Tasks
- Work in a collaborative environment on challenging tasks you will manage and coordinate releases for the cross-functional team.
- Provide guidance and feedback to the wider mobile team.
- Collaborate with other engineers in designing APIs used by the Lykon app and contribute to a product that you can be proud of.
- You will proactively work on improving the mobile tech stack and ensure high-quality standards.
- Work on a modern unified tech stack with the main components being React Native, Typescript, Detox to name just a few.
- Be interested in contributing to our extensive documentation and our testing suite (unit testing with Jest, accessibility checks, end-to-end testing with Cypress…).
- Ensuring user experience determines design choices.
Requirements
- Significant experience in developing high-quality accessible applications with semantic markup, using JavaScript with a sound understanding of modern frameworks and libraries, such as React Native.
- The ability to showcase your experiences with a variety of mobile frameworks, especially using React Native or Flutter.
- Caring about quality, performance, user experience, and security.
- Experience developing mobile applications and considering accessibility (WCAG 2.1 compliance knowledge or basic theoretical knowledge).
- Experience with web service APIs working with either REST, GraphQL, or both.
- Actively help yourself (and others) be successful.
- Give and receive open, direct, and timely feedback.
- Continuously learn and challenge the status quo.
